Estimated Monthly In-Hand
₹89,867
This is an indicative estimate based on the values you enter. Income tax, TDS, statutory deductions and company-specific salary structures may change the actual take-home salary.
What is CTC to in-hand salary?
CTC, or Cost to Company, represents the overall annual cost an employer may incur for an employee. It can include fixed salary, variable pay, employer contributions, benefits and other compensation components.
Your in-hand or take-home salary is different. It generally refers to the amount available to you after salary components that are not paid directly in cash and any applicable employee deductions are accounted for.
Because every company can structure compensation differently, annual CTC alone cannot determine an exact take-home salary. This calculator provides an estimate using the values you enter.
How this calculator works
Estimated annual fixed pay
Annual CTC
− Annual variable pay
− Employer PF contribution
− Other CTC deductions
= Estimated annual fixed pay
The estimated annual fixed pay is divided by 12 to produce an estimated monthly gross figure. Any additional deduction entered in the calculator is then reflected in the estimated monthly in-hand amount.
CTC calculation example
Assume an employee has an annual CTC of ₹12,00,000, including ₹1,00,000 of annual variable pay and ₹21,600 of employer PF.
Dividing the estimated fixed pay by 12 gives an approximate monthly gross amount of ₹89,867 before employee-specific taxes and deductions.
Why CTC and in-hand salary are different
Frequently asked questions
What is CTC?
CTC stands for Cost to Company. It represents the total annual cost an employer may incur for an employee and can include fixed salary, variable pay, employer contributions, benefits and other components.
Is CTC the same as take-home salary?
No. CTC is not the amount credited to your bank account. Take-home salary is usually lower because CTC can include employer contributions, variable compensation, taxes and employee-specific deductions.
Why can two employees with the same CTC receive different in-hand salaries?
Salary structure, variable pay, PF, professional tax, ESI, income tax, benefits and other deductions can differ. Because of this, the same annual CTC can produce different monthly take-home amounts.
Does this calculator include income tax?
No. This version provides an indicative estimate and does not calculate personal income tax or TDS because tax liability depends on employee-specific information and the applicable tax regime.
Does employer PF reduce in-hand salary?
Employer PF can form part of CTC even though it is not paid directly as monthly take-home salary. This calculator therefore separates employer PF from the estimated fixed cash component.
Is this calculator suitable for payroll processing?
This calculator is intended for estimation and educational use. Payroll teams should use the employee's configured salary structure, statutory rules and applicable deductions for actual payroll processing.
