How to calculate working days
Start with the total number of calendar days in your selected date range, then exclude weekly offs and any holidays that fall on otherwise working days.

The calculator uses an inclusive range, which means the start date and end date are both included. A holiday that already falls on an excluded weekend is counted only once.
Working days calculation example
Assume you want to calculate working days from Monday, 5 October 2026 through Sunday, 11 October 2026, with Saturday and Sunday treated as weekly offs.
Example with a holiday
If 7 October is also entered as a holiday, the same date range contains four working days instead of five.

How does the working days calculator work?
The calculator counts calendar days between the selected start and end dates, then removes the weekend days and holiday dates you choose to exclude.
Are the start and end dates included?
Yes. This calculator uses an inclusive date range, so both the start date and end date are counted when they fall within the selected period.
Can I exclude only Sunday?
Yes. Saturday and Sunday can be enabled or disabled independently, which makes the calculator useful for different work-week policies.
Can I add public or company holidays?
Yes. You can add individual holiday dates. Holidays that already fall on an excluded weekend are not deducted a second time.
What happens if a holiday falls on a weekend?
If that weekend day is already excluded, the holiday is not counted again. This prevents double deduction from the working-day total.
Can HR teams use this for official attendance or payroll?
